Workplace Leaders H&S training 

This 30-day self-paced solo e-learning course is designed for Workplace Leaders

This is the WorksafeReps H&S for Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders course, presented to include union representatives and HSRs who already hold US29315. ​​​​
 

You get access to the whole course on the 1st day of the month and we finish on the 30th. You'll have ​​access to me for support through Zoom and email if you need it.

It's all delivered through iQualify in your browser. No downloads required unless you need offline or mobile access through their app.

What you'll learn: 

  • You'll be able to describe good health and safety practice in NZ workplaces and explain people's duties and obligations.

  • You'll understand an employer's health and safety obligations and where to find support and advice.

  • You'll have time to think through your own practice and how you might discover or improve processes within your own workplace. 

  • You'll also gain the knowledge and skills to support worker representatives.   

What you'll need: 

  • A computer or tablet, and high motivation to succeed. Learning solo works best when you have support from friends, workmates, family and your manager. I'll check in to keep you on track :)

  • Please discuss scheduling/workload management with your manager so you have time to do the course during your month.    

  • Everything else you need for the course is shared with you through iQualify (accessible through most browsers). Most of your learning materials are in a text-based format.

  • You can let me know if you have specific learning needs (e.g., dyslexia) or accessibility needs. I'd love to make this work for you. 

Time requirements: 

  • If required, I can help you get support to do the course during work time from your employer.   

  • Most people schedule time on their working days to work through the course. Find a quiet space with good internet access where you won't be interrupted. 

  • We recommend completing most of the course in the first two weeks. If you want my feedback, you should submit your answers before the 25th day of the month.
