cancellation

I send invoices after each session. Invoices are issued in the name of the person who booked the session. Individuals usually arrange for their employer to pay.
If you repeatedly cancel/reschedule at short notice, we'll have a no-judgement chat to find a better way to manage appointments. We'll do what works.
guidance sessions
I'll only cancel a session if
-
I am too unwell to deliver a quality service
-
my internet access fails
-
there's major emergency (flood/fire/quake etc.)
Sign in to change or cancel your session. You can manage your appointment for free right up to the start time. You only need to provide a reason if doing so would help us for future sessions. I trust you.
If you don't show, I charge between 50%-100% of a session's fee. Anyone can send me a message to cancel a session.

WorksafeReps workshops are designed for between 6 and 12/16 people.
I send invoices for open training after our workshop. Invoices are issued in your name but many people arrange for their employer to pay.

Printed workshop resources orders are not affected by workshop cancellations.
open training workshops
I'll only cancel a workshop if
-
we don't have enough people to proceed
-
I am too unwell to deliver a quality service
-
my internet access fails
-
there's major emergency (flood/fire/quake etc.)

In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a workshop, you'll be notified as soon as possible. I'll offer alternatives as soon as I'm back online.
You can cancel your workshop 7 or more days before the start time for free. Sign in with the same email address you used to book the course. Cancel and book a spot in a future session.
Fees will apply if you cancel your workshop booking within 7 days of your workshop. I highly encourage early communication so I can try to find another learner to take your spot. To cancel your booking at this late stage, please send me a message. See below for applicable fees.
fees timeline
6-2 days before
PAY 30% OF YOUR WORKSHOP FEE
I might need to charge you 30% of your workshop fee if I can't fill your spot. The more notice you give, the easier it will be to fill your spot.

So if your workshop costs $300 you might be charged $90 if you cancel within 6-2 days of the start time and we can't replace you.

If you have someone to take your place, they should mention your name when they book. Send me a message with their name and email so I can look for their booking.
less than 48 hours' before
SAVE 30% OF YOUR WORKSHOP FEE
If you cancel within 48 hours, I'll take 30% off the full workshop fee IF I get a message before we start.

So if your workshop costs $300 you'll be charged $180 instead of $300. I offer this discount to save us from waiting for people who can't make the workshop anymore.
Anyone can message me on your behalf: All I need is your name and a statement that you can't come. No reason required. I'll check in with you after the workshop.
no-show and no message
PAY THE FULL WORKSHOP FEE
If you've booked a workshop and then don't come or get in touch to cancel before the start time, you'll receive an invoice for the full workshop fee.
I close workshops to new joiners at 15 minutes past the start time because we'll have already started our workshop content by then.
I know life can get complicated and hard, so please let me know if this policy causes you personal difficulty. We'll figure a way through.
In an emergency (e.g., fire/flood/quake/hospital) please follow official guidance instead of worrying about our course. Send me a message when you're safe, saying what happened so I can cancel your invoice.
E-learning alternative for initial HSR training
solo self-paced e-learning

If your specific learning or accessibility needs can't be met in a workshop and you'd like to explore the solo e-learning option, please send me a message. I'm happy to help.
The benefit of our group assessment process for US29315 reduces when there's fewer than 6 people. I'll make a decision on whether to proceed with the group workshop based on your stated learning needs.
If absolutely need to cancel the workshop, you'll be offered a choice to either book a spot on the next scheduled workshop or explore a solo self-paced e-learning alternative.

This (mainly) text-based format is run through the iQualify e-learning platform. You'd have just under a month to complete your course, with access to me for support (through in-course email and/or Zoom).
The online course requires up to 20 hours of study time. HSRs are still entitled to do the course during paid work time, but you should discuss scheduling with your manager. It's entirely up to you and your manager whether you take up this option. I can meet to talk it through before you decide.
